Just another day

I have always wanted to start a blog ...To collect my thoughts, and keep current on the kids new accomplishments. Its a typical Wednesday - just taking calls & catching up on chat, email or whatever in between. The weather outside is dreary & its hard to get back in the swing of things after the rush of Christmas & New Years...

We had a great Christmas, Ethan really got into it this year, as a matter of fact we would tell him we were going to call Santa if he wasn't good and this would make him very fearful ha!! Adriana is just happy go lucky and just follows her brothers lead, she was very good at opening presents this year, she caught right on and would want to open everyone's presents.

Ethan is 3.5 yrs old - and is such an amazing little boy, we just stare at him in awe at how quickly the time has gone. He is such an inquisitive little boy, and very sensitive. He loves to make plans in his head and will tell us "mommy or daddy I have an idea" he gives us the run down on how things will go. He is very independent - unless it comes to dressing himself and then he always wants help, when he can do it himself, that's okay I secretly help him more than I should because he is my baby boy :) He is a very good big brother (most of the time) the cutest is when he takes Adriana's hand and says "come on Ana" and they walk downstairs together - if she doesn't want to go with him he goes " but momma I don't want to go by myself" Let's just hope this relationship continues and they will always have each other. Ethan loves to watch movies - doesn't most kids? his favorite this season is Polar Express - He loves to get on the computer and is actually very good at maneuvering around seseamstreet.com and this luxor ball game his nana taught him to play. I just hug Ethan all the time and ask him if he will always be my baby - of course his reponse is " I am a big boy, Mommy" I cant argue that - he is amazing!

Adriana is 1.5yrs - oh my little beast girl Adriana! She is everything and then some that I could ever want in a little girl - she is sweet & adorable, but watch out because she is rough & tough also. Adriana is very independent for a toddler, and everything is "mine" especially if Ethan wants to play with it - We do feel bad for Ethan, he takes his share of abuse from his "little" sister - who says it has to be the older brother picking on the younger one ? ha! Its crazy how different the 2 kids are - Adriana figures so many things out, and she knows way more than she can tell us - she will ask for a "yogart drink" in the mornings - very picky, and then she will request to watch frakin (franklin) - She is really starting to talk more & more - most things are just repeating us - but if you tell her "I love you" she will respond with " love you too " if that doesn't melt your heart ! She loves her big brother, and is very concerned if he is not up in the morning - she will proceed to yell Ehan "Ethan" - She has always been excited to see him in the morning since I can remember. Adriana is our little piggy - we can't leave the pantry door open or she will be in their trying to reach for things - also don't think you are going to get away with eating, she will be right on your lap getting her share..some of her favorites: Raisins, apples, bananas, special K w/ berries cereal - this is actually my cereal, but the kid goes nut's over it! Adriana loves to dance, read books, play dress up w/ hats, shoes, she sits and trys to put Ethans clothes on - it surprises me at how coordinated she is to do some of these things - shoot her 3.5yr old brother cant do some of these things ha! Sorry Ethan! Adriana is a lovable, cuddly little girl - we call her a little monkey sometimes - the way she wraps her arms and legs around us and gives us big hugs - she also plays with things with her toes - maybe she is part monkey. I am in shock that my baby girl is almost 2yrs old - the old cliche that all your elders will tell you " they grow up so fast, enjoy them" is so true - I hate to say it but I am among the elders telling my little cousins this when they are having babies now - they grow so fast and you cant get the time back - well maybe I can with my zillions of pictures I take LOL!! I swear I have lived the last 4yrs behind a camera - Well better end my brag session for now on my darling little kiddos!!

Please check back ...I will have more updates on whats in my head!
